  • Please RSVP by July 31st so we can finalize our seating chart and share final numbers with our vendors.

  • While we adore your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration.

  • Due to venue capacity, we are only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. Thank you for understanding!

  • Please plan to arrive 15–20 minutes before the ceremony to allow time to find your seat and settle in before the Mass begins promptly at 3:30 p.m.

  • Yes! We kindly ask that you silence your phones and refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We have a wonderful photographer and would love for you to be fully present with us.

  • We are so excited to welcome you to historic Holy Name Cathedral, completed in 1875, where we will exchange our vows in this sacred and meaningful setting.

You are warmly invited to participate in the Mass to the extent that you feel comfortable. Your presence with us is what matters most!

  • Our wedding day is designed to flow seamlessly from the ceremony at Holy Name Cathedral to cocktail hour and the reception at The Carter Chicago, so we recommend wearing an outfit that's appropriate for both occasions.

While Holy Name Cathedral does not have a formal dress code for guests, we encourage attire that is respectful of the church setting. If you're wearing a sleeveless or strapless dress, you may wish to bring a shawl or wrap for the ceremony. Otherwise, simply wear what you'll be comfortable celebrating—and dancing—in all evening!

  • Our wedding is formal attire. We invite you to dress up and celebrate with us!

  • Yes! Immediately following the ceremony at Holy Name Cathedral, complimentary coach buses will be waiting to transport guests to The Carter Chicago for cocktail hour and the reception.

At the end of the evening, return shuttles to the hotel will begin departing at 10:30 p.m. and will continue running through the conclusion of the reception at 11:30 p.m.

  • Yes! Parking is available at both Holy Name Cathedral and The Carter Chicago.

Holy Name Cathedral: A parking garage is located beneath the One Chicago Square complex at 14 W. Superior Street (between Dearborn and State Streets). Enter the two-way driveway on Superior Street and follow the ramp down to the garage on Lower Level One (LL1) or Lower Level Two (LL2). Parking validation will be available in the Cathedral vestibule.

The Carter Chicago: A gated parking lot is available on-site. Spaces are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. If the lot is full, ample street parking is available throughout the surrounding neighborhood.

  • Please let us know when you RSVP, and we'll do our best to accommodate dietary needs.

  • Absolutely! We would love to see your photos. Feel free to share them with us after the wedding—we can't wait to relive the day through your eyes.
